How does The Smile Bar whiten teeth?

What’s in the gel that makes teeth whiter?

The active ingredient in The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening gel is hydrogen peroxide.

Isn’t hydrogen peroxide harsh on teeth?

The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening gel uses only a low concentration of peroxide. This level of concentration does not harm the teeth.

When activated by the LED Plasma Light, it safely removes organic stains to make your teeth 2 to 9 shades lighter.

How many shades lighter can my teeth get?

Your teeth can get anywhere between 2 to 9 shades whiter in just one visit! The average is 5 shades whiter after one treatment.

The results depend on the type and degree of discoloration, as well as on the number of direct whitening sessions you avail of. One of our specialists will assess your current teeth shade and advise you of the results you can expect to see.

Will The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening work for my teeth?

Tooth discoloration is caused by many things, most of which are rooted in your lifestyle: the consumption of color-pigmented food and beverages (such as tea, coffee, red wine, and soda), tar and nicotine from smoking tobacco products, medication, and poor oral hygiene.

Is your teeth whitening safe?

Absolutely! The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening system isn’t just effective — it’s also 100% safe.

All our products are manufactured and imported from Europe, and they have been thoroughly tested and thus proven to be safe for teeth and gums.

Is the light technology effective?

Used to activate the whitening gel, the LED Plasma Light technology produces better results in a shorter period of time compared to other teeth whitening methods.

In addition, because this technology is non-abrasive, it’s 100% safe! It does not cause the thinning of your teeth’s enamel, which could lead to sensitivity.

Will teeth whitening cause sensitivity?

As a non-invasive cosmetic treatment, The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening system rarely produces any side effects. A slight tingle may be felt within the first 24 hours after a session; this is perfectly natural and will disappear quickly on its own.

Is there anyone who can’t or shouldn’t get teeth whitening?

Teeth whitening is not recommended for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and people wearing dental braces.

Children and teenagers under the age of 16 years old may have teeth whitening only with parental consent.

Will everyone really get whiter teeth at The Smile Bar?

Only 15% of the global population have difficulty getting whiter teeth, and that’s usually brought about by genetic reasons.

As The Smile Bar’s teeth whitening treatment is particularly effective in removing tooth discoloration associated with lifestyle choices, it’s extremely rare to not get any result.

Which teeth shades are easier to whiten?

Yellow teeth are easier to whiten compared to gray teeth.

Walk-ins are accepted if there are available slots. The Smile Bar is located at LG 1-10, Arcoris Mont Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur.

After treatment, how long do I have to wait before drinking, eating, or smoking?

For 72 hours after treatment, your teeth will be vulnerable to new discoloration. Our customers are advised to avoid the following:

(a) strongly-colored drinks such as red wine, coffee, tea, and soda,
(b) chocolates and food with artificial coloring,
(c) acidic food such as tomatoes, vinegar, soy, citrus, and chili sauce, and
(d) smoking.

A fluoride rinse twice a day can help fill the microscopic spots left by the stain removal.

But if you don’t want to worry about these restrictions, The Smile Bar offers After Care as an add-on to your treatment. This treatment allows you to eat or drink anything one hour after your treatment without the risk of new discoloration.

What is After Care? What’s it for?

After Care is a liquid solution applied on your teeth immediately after your direct whitening procedure. It reinforces the enamel and seals the whiteness of your teeth, cutting the 72-hour restriction on eating, drinking, and smoking to just 1 hour.

The solution is applied using a small brush, and adds only a minute to your total treatment time.

How long do teeth whitening results last?

Tooth discoloration is largely caused by one’s lifestyle choices, so the length of time you’ll get to enjoy the results of your teeth whitening session at The Smile Bar depends on you. If you practice good oral hygiene, cut back on pigmented food and beverages, and not smoke, you can maintain whiter teeth up to 6 months after the treatment.

For best results, monthly direct whitening sessions are recommended. For maintenance, The Smile Bar offers exclusive products for use post-treatment.

How do I maintain my whiter teeth after treatment?

Keep your new smile whiter longer with the two-step Whitening Oral Care Regime.

Start with Our Whitening Mouthrinse. Vigorously swish 2 cupfuls of rinse around your mouth for 1 minute and then spit it out.

Brush with our Whitening Toothpaste. Apply a pea-sized amount on a toothbrush and brush your teeth as you normally do.

These products dissolve surface stains to help prevent or minimize discoloration. They do not contain harmful abrasives, hydrogen peroxide, or other oxidizing substances, and are safe for daily use.

Why should I use the mouthrinse first?

Our Whitening Mouthrinse help loosens surface stains on your teeth, making it easier for you to brush them off.

Where can I buy your oral care products?

Our Oral Care products are exclusively available at The Smile Bar.

What’s the difference between the red and blue toothpaste?

Our Original Toothpaste (blue) is the original whitening toothpaste that dissolves surface stains to help prevent or minimize new discoloration without causing abrasions on the teeth’s enamel. In addition, it protects you from cavities, plaque, sensitivity, and even bad breath. This product is intended for daily use.

Our Intensive Toothpaste (red), on the other hand, is an intensive care toothpaste for when you need that extra whitening boost. It has a more potent formula as well as additional whitening ingredients that can remove all surface stains in just two weeks.

I’m super interested in your teeth whitening products! Can I order online?

Yes, you can order The Smile Bar Malaysia products online!

Simply visit the Shop page of our website, add all the products you want in your online bag, and then proceed with your order like you do with any other e-commerce site. (We suggest you create an account to make re-ordering a breeze!)

You’ll be asked to provide information such as your name, delivery address, and contact details upon check out, after which you can also settle the payment online. After that, just wait for your order to be delivered to your doorstep!

Is there a minimum purchase required for when I order?

We don’t impose a minimum purchase for online orders, so you can order only the items you want without worrying about meeting a certain amount.

A fixed delivery fee of RM10 will be charged on top of your order total. However, if your purchase is RM199 or higher, we’ll waive the shipping fee!

Do you deliver nationwide?

Yes, we deliver to any fixed address all over Malaysia!

How much do you charge for shipping?

Our logistics partner charges RM10 for every order.

But if you order at least RM199 worth of The Smile Bar Malaysia products, we’ll waive the shipping fee!

How long before I receive my order?

After we have received the order details and the payment, we will ship your order in 2-3 business days. Once we send you the email confirmation of your order, the delivery window time begins.

Can you tell me the date and time my order will arrive?

Unfortunately, we cannot commit an exact date and time for the delivery of your order as it is handled solely by our logistics partner. In addition, the delivery time may vary depending on your address.

But we will provide you with a tracking number so you can monitor the status of the delivery directly via our logistics partner’s website.

I completed my order already but there’s one more item I want to add! Can I still edit my order?

Once orders are finalized, changes are no longer allowed. But you can always place a new order for the additional items you want.

Can I order whenever?

Absolutely! Our website accepts orders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For orders received after 12pm, kindly note that the processing will begin on the next business day

Can I pay with my credit card?

Yes, you can pay for your order with a credit card! We accept both Visa and MasterCard.

We also offer debit card and PayPal as payment options. You will see the accepted payment methods during the check-out process.

Do you offer cash-on-delivery option?

Unfortunately, cash-on-delivery is currently not available.

Can I order your products and have it delivered to someone else?

Yes, definitely! During the check-out process, tick the “Gift” option box so you will be prompted to provide the recipient’s name and delivery information.

In case you are ordering for yourself but you wish to have the items shipped to another address, you can also tick the “Gift” option box and then key in the new delivery address.

I encountered a problem at the payment! Please help!

I made an order but I’m not sure if it went through! Can someone help me check?

An email confirmation will be sent to you if your order attempt is successful. But if you didn’t receive an email, you can also check on our website. Simply log in and go to “My Orders” (under “My Account”) to look for the order.

If there’s no record of the order either via email or on our website but the payment was completed, please contact us here so we can help you.

I love your products and I want to order a lot! Will I get a discount?

If you want to order a lot of The Smile Bar’s products, go for our Bundles and Gift Packs – they’re discounted already, so you save on the cost of individual products.

Plus, the shipping fee will be waived when your order reaches or exceeds RM199!

I want to return my order! Can I cancel my order?

We’re sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, all completed orders on The Smile Bar Malaysia website are considered final.

If you want to return your order due to manufacturer defects or damages, we can offer a replacement instead. Simply contact us here for assistance.

The products I received are damaged! Can you replace this?

If the products you received have manufacturer defects or damages, we will gladly replace them.

Kindly inspect the products immediately after delivery. If you notice any damages or defects, please send them back to:

Please note that the products must be returned to us in the exact same condition you received them. They must be unused and unopened, and the packaging must not have wears or tears.

For the return and replacement request to be processed, please email the following to info@the-smile-bar.my

  1. Proof of Purchase (email receipt and confirmation)
  2. Evidence of the damage or defect (photos)

We will process your return and replacement request only if it is made within three (3) days after the delivery. After this window has lapsed, requests will no longer be accommodated.

If the items you ordered are on sale or a promo, they are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.

For bundled products, the entire set must be returned regardless of whether only one item has damages or defects.

In the event that the product for exchange is out of stock at the time you placed your request, you have the option to (a) wait for its availability, or (b) select another product of equal or higher value, the difference of which must be settled by you.

I asked for a replacement but the same item is out of stock. Can I just get a refund?

If your desired replacement product is not available, we can give you store credits that you may use for future purchases from The Smile Bar Malaysia. The same applies for cash-based purchases.

As for a refund, you may send us a request for it, but kindly note that it will be subject for approval. It will be reviewed once the product is returned and inspected, and we will let you know via email whether it is approved or denied.

The refund will be processed immediately if the request is approved. The amount will be credited back in full through the same payment method used for the purchase. Shipping fees, if any, will not be included in the refund credit.

I received an email that my refund is approved! When will I get my money back?

Since the crediting of refunds will go through your bank or your card issuer, we cannot give you an exact date. You may instead check or follow-up with them directly.

Contact us here if you’ve already contacted your bank or card issuer and still have not received your refund.

A friend gave me your products as a gift, but I’m happy with the ones I’m using. Can I send them back to you for cash instead?

We can give you a gift credit for the same value of the products you were given, granted that your friend marked the order as a gift upon his or her purchase.

We’ll send you the gift certificate after we have received and inspected the products, and you can use it to purchase products and pay for services at The Smile Bar Malaysia in the future.

Please note, however, that if your friend did not mark the purchase as a gift, the credit will be given instead to the buyer.
